Project Funding

GCD TIMELINE:

Nov. 30: Project applications due

Feb.- March Committee completes review of applications and makes funding recommendations.

April - Finalists’ projects will be presented to the membership. Organizations requesting funds over $10,000 may request an in-person presentation.

May: Membership votes on which project/s it wants to support.

June 1: notifications mailed; signed letter/s of agreement must be received by the end of the month

Grants for $5000 or more must submit semi-annual progress reports showing how funds were spent for that period and evidence of achievement.

The primary mission of the GCD is to educate: - To stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, - To aid in the protection of native trees, plants, birds and other creatures, - To encourage historic preservation, civic plantings, and general knowledge of nature. The Garden Club of America has position papers on a variety of topics, including: Clean Air, Clean Water, Clean Oceans, Waste Management, Climate Change, and Land Conservation.
